How far are most Wildwood hotels from the actual beach?

I've been reading that the beach is really wide — does that mean the walk from the hotel to the water is long?

The beach in Wildwood is famously wide — some spots are 1,000+ feet from boardwalk to water at low tide. So even "oceanfront" hotels are a walk. That said, the boardwalk is right there, and the wide beach means tons of room to spread out. Pick a hotel on Ocean Ave (the oceanfront street) and you're as close as you'll get.
