Saw references to Wildwood Doo Wop everywhere. What is it and which hotels still have it?

Even if you're not into architecture, the neon signs at night are stunning. The motor inns with the original signage are the most authentic. It's one reason Wildwood feels different from every other beach town β€” it has a genuine visual identity.

Doo Wop is the 1950s-60s googie/modernist architecture style that gave Wildwood its iconic look β€” the boomerang roofs, starburst signs, neon, tropical themes. Wildwood has the highest concentration of this architecture in the world. The Doo Wop Experience museum on Ocean Ave is worth a visit. Many original motels still stand β€” some preserved, some sadly being demolished.
