Ocean Ave is the key. Any hotel that lists "direct beach access" or is described as oceanfront on Ocean Ave will have the shortest walk. Check the map view — it's easy to see.

The oceanfront hotels on Ocean Ave in Wildwood Crest are your best bet — the beach access path goes directly to the sand. You'll still walk 5-10 minutes to the water depending on tide, but at least you're starting from the boardwalk side. The AI search on this site shows beach distance in feet which is actually useful.
